Since, we have completed a concept trailer, currently crunching numbers and flipping through calendar dates as we prepare for delivery to propose and secure investment.

But when I said that nothing had been done I erred in one important matter. We had definitely committed ourselves and were halfway out of our ruts. We had put down our passage money — booked a sailing to Bombay. This may sound too simple, but is great in consequence.

“Until one is committed, there is hesitance, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of inititative there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too.”

 – W. H. Murray in the Scottish Himalaya Expedition

This is our first walk in the park so it has been a tight rope and perhaps it is a club that doesn’t always hear us at the stage door, but we are ‘knockin and it is time to start rockin’

Editing, heaven?

Headphones

We should think of this as editing heaven because we are fortunate to be blessed with an abundance of footage, but too much of something is not always a good thing.

The past few weeks have pulled, prevailed, and passionately proven the restless need to breathe life into this chapter. The words of fellow Filmmaker Mark Freiburger will forever resonate within the beauty of this creative process:

“If you want to make a film, you literally have to will it into existence. There is no other way.”

So as you read this: The team is implementing the final touches of our official Trailer Pitch to secure further cast and pave a road for funding to begin Production.

LOVE YOURSELF MORE

In the meantime Director Kim Laureen is preparing to film our second Annual Christmas sessions in support of the not-for- profit start-up, ‘For An Angel’ at a quaint old Farm House in the countryside and her co founder Meg branches out to Paris to discover inspiration and study the art of Photography.

Stay tuned as we get back on the band wagon blog to further bring you meaningful stories of the faces behind the lens.

Yours in music,

Fresh Independence

Get on Board with Passenger at the Orpheum Theatre Vancouver B.C.

a passenger music

P A S S E N G E R   M U S I C

I stumbled upon Passenger some years back  clicking around  looking for something to light me up in the night. There’s a  familiarity inside his quirky lyrics as eccentric as any real life situation can be, delivered with a comforting voice that resonates deep inside that place which makes you feel alive. Effortlessly moving you from laughter to tears while ushering your heart through all the emotions you did not know were lingering so close.

Brighton born Mike Rosenberg learned his craft busking in the streets of Australia, America and the United Kingdom. A troubadour at heart, with a passion born from his soul, the songs speak for themselves and his endearing sense of storytelling is selling out crowds across Europe, America and beyond.

a passenger whispers

His latest album offering Whispers brings the listener to his thoughts present day, delightful and inspiring from the moment you pick it up. Simply the prettiest art work I have ever seen framing a body of music, filled with that bit of comfort and sensibility that resonates with those feelings of days gone by, but remain forever imprinted on your heart.

Documentary Production: Behind The Scenes

Behind The Scenes with Mama Kin, John Butler Trio, & Shakey Graves

In a sense this folk festival ambiance was our first ‘round at the rodeo as we pulled into Calgary. Excitement, inspiration, and lack of sleep was on our side from the one hour nap due to rocking out at Shakey Graves the night previous.

Day two was one for the books and it started with the breakfast of champions under a golden arch. Crew for the Day was highly recommended Cinematographer and Sound Technican [Life Capture’s] Adam Peariso and product of a desperate google search which ultimately was meant to be brought us Photographer Allison Seto.

The itinerary was to film an interview with John Butler of The John Butler Trio, partner to our muse Mama Kin followed by the band’s headline performance at The Calgary Folk Festival.
